I joined Filipino healthcare workers yesterday protesting outside the London HQ of the Daily Mail, after that newspaper published a derogatory, xenophobic article about Filipino nurse recruitment to the UK.

Did this get any media coverage at all? I don't know, as I have almost given up on the BBC to report things happening on their own doorstep.

When Jani was in the nursing home in Marlborough, her family wanted to take her out to Avebury Stone circle for Aug the 1st. (Lammas) They had to have a nurse go with her, to push the chair and to see to her medical needs. They chose a young Philopinno boy who looked about 18. He had no idea about the things in the area, and was delighted and suprised to see thatched cottages. He was a delight, and very caring.

The Nursing Times covered it and a local London cable TV channel.
